I just paged through The Nice dropdown on my comic site.
Almost all of the comics listed are dead or in reruns.
But, not that surprising.
Keeping up with a comic isn't easy.
Good grief, I've been doing this since 1998?
... The Nice is down. So no, it is not your browser or computer, if the call just returns a white page. I hope it's just maintenance.
People have been talking about the difficulties over at TAC, and Mr. Sharkey made some salient observations, but also offered these suggestions:
"Maybe I'm running wild yelling "The sky is falling!" but I'm amazed that this thing has held on as long as it has. Given the forum problems and phpBB dropping support for v.2, I'd recommend copy-pasting favorite posts into your local machine, and perhaps start gathering favorite member contact information so that when it does hit the wall, it won't be like a few months ago when the Nice and TAC were both dead at the same time. Wouldn't hurt to have an account somewhere to be used as a "bomb shelter" where people could get together after the ground stops shaking..."
This community could serve as a staging area if TAC ever does decide to go tits-up...
Talk About Comics appears to be on its deathbed today. For days now, we've been seeing posts failing, random error messages, connection difficulties, posts being indiscriminately deleted... and now it just ain't there.
Doctor Stat to the emergency room!
I don't know how, but it had to be me. It died upon my posting in the Cafe. Maybe I'm dyslexic and it looks too much like a CAT. I'm a bad god. Er, dog.
Is it just me? TAC is throwing time outs at me.
